Service Description

As social Workers we all know how difficult it can be to have supervision in our fast paced work environments. In order to fully support your professional development, I offer supervision hours for Social Workers with LMSW’s in DC, MD and MSW’s in VA. Although it can seem like a pain in the butt, it is a mandatory requirement in order to obtain higher licensure. Clinical supervision should be fulfilling, thought-provoking, and safe. Not only is it a requirement for clinical licensure, but it is also a valuable space to strengthen your practice. My experience is with adolescent, adult, family, and group populations, and I have worked in government, hospital, non-profit, and high school settings. My heart is in medical / public health social work, and these experiences have greatly influenced my practice. Most importantly, I value the process of collaborating with and guiding other social workers through the challenges and joys of clinical social work. I benefited from high quality clinical social work supervision and I am enthusiastic about offering the same level of quality to social workers interested in pursuing clinical licensure. I meet the supervision requirements of the Boards of Social Work for DC, VA and MD. Supervision can be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly reflection time to support your ongoing professional development and we will discuss a wide range of topics and I can guarantee you that ethics and ethical dilemmas, the clinical process, and the importance of a fully thought out evaluation will definitely be covered during you sessions! I offer individual and group supervision and participants must meet the following requirements: • Possess a MSW from an accredited social work program by the Council of Social work Education. • Passed the LMSW exam (DC and MD social workers) • Be engaged in direct service practice
